Frequently Asked Questions:

CheVi related questions are answered under the eHiTS FAQ pages.

Known Issues

Issue: Distorted molecules in CheVi v2009

Specific issue: eHiTS docking results look distorted in CheVi while they look OK in Pymol. So the problem is clearly in the viewer and not in the docker.

Operating System: various Linux distributions (reported for: Mandriva Linux release 2009, and Ubuntu)

Location: it's been reported so far in Europe only (Spain, France etc.)

Problem: the decimal point is not a point in Europe, instead it's a comma (i.e. US 2.34 = EU 2,34), and this is a problem for the interface layer Qt in CheVi, because Qt adapts system IO functions to follow locale settings.

Workaround: in the terminal window, where you'll start up CheVi, run one of the following commands:
  1. unset LANG
  2. "setenv LANG C"  and "setenv LC_ALL C "
